چکیده
Abstract Hydrophilic sponge composites were designed with a combination of polymers using silane agent (Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS), Octhyltriethoxysilane (OTES)), Polyethylene glycol (PEG), Polyvinylalcohol (PVA) and activated natural bentonite (B). We describe simple method hydrophilic preparation characteristics. The was proceeded by washing in distilled water followed curing heated at 150°C for 1 hour. V1 prepared the ratio PDMS: Zn: PVA: PEG= 1: (w/w). Through same synthesis steps, we also V2 (2:1:1:1), V3 (1:1:2:1), V4 (1:1:1:2). Then, (B) added to V1, V2, V3, composites, respectively, obtained B-V1 PDMS, B-V2 B-V3 B-V4 OTES, OTES. research studies physical characteristics bentonite, PVA/PEG-silane X-Ray diffraction (XRD), Attenuated total reflection-Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) spectroscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). Even though, characteristic sponges identified contact angle measurement. It has been observed that most materials are PDMS presence more PEG can cause be smaller or hydrophilic, but its needs limited further reviewed regarding solubility fuel oil. concludes potential application as separation from

Performance of Sudanese Activated Bentonite in Bleaching Cottonseed Oil
Bentonite clay collected from Jabal Umm Ali area NE of Khartoum (Sudan) was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). It was then purified by treatment with distilled water and activated with sulfuric acid at 90 oC for 3.5 hrs. XRD indicated modification of activated bentonite with enhanced surface area. Several cations were removed from octahedral sheet (Mg, Al, and Fe). Increasing the acid co...

Bentonite - TiO2 composites were prepared by impregnation of TiO2 and bentonite, followed by microwave irradiation processes. The composites were characterized using FTIR, SEM, XRD, and nitrogen sorption methods. Anatase phase of TiO2 in all composites are observed through XRD diffraction peaks and surface morphology of the composites. The adsorption and photocatalytic capabilities of the compo...
متن کاملEffect of activation factors on adsorption of cationic dye, methylene blue, by activated bentonite
The aim of this investigation was to study the relationship between activation factors and adsorption of cationic dye, methylene blue MB, by activated bentonite. The adsorption index was investigated as a function of acid type, time and temperature. A commercial bentonite was selected as a starting material and the effect of heat treatment on MB adsorption were determined in a batch setup. Thou...
